About Our Elders
Michael Wellen
Michael Wellen was born August 24th, 1982, in the state of Tennessee.
It was in his Twenties when He was born again By God and personally trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ substitutionary, propitiatory, atoning cross work to be saved from the wrath of God. He was later baptized by immersion.
His passions are studying God's word through proper hermeneutics and exegesis and then the exposition of God’s word. He also desires to faithfully disciple others and see them mature in the faith based upon God's word alone.
Colossians 1:28 "We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ.29 For this purpose also I labor, striving according to His power, which mightily works within me."
1 Timothy 1:5 "But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith."
He went to college for Construction Management and currently owns his own Home improvement/Landscaping business.
He is married to Laura and together they have four children.
Eric Powers
Eric was born on November 11, 1982, in Washington, D.C. Eric repented unto salvation and personally trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ’s perfect life, death on the cross, and bodily resurrection from the dead to be saved from the wrath of God after Eric was born again in his late 20’s. After that, Eric was convicted that he needed to be baptized and was then baptized by immersion on Friday, April 10, 2009. Initially pursuing a career in firefighting, Eric was encouraged by Christian friends to attend Bible college after they noticed and affirmed that he had the gift of teaching. Eric then enrolled and later graduated from Washington Bible College in 2012 and then later graduated from The Master’s Seminary in 2016. Eric is married to his wife Lisa, and they have four children.
